Devout Christian Matt Lofgran always likes to say that he rescued Nostra Terra Oil & Gas (NTOG) when he took over in 2009. It was as if Jesus had saved the disciples as the storm raged on the sea of Galilee where their boat was sailing (Mark 4, 3-41). But the reality is that anyone who bought the shares when the great rescuer took over as CEO has now lost 99.8% of their money while Lofgran has made millions in remuneration. You have to pay for talent don’t you? Would it not have been better just to put the company into administration in 2009, to have avoided numerous bailout placings more good money going after bad?

What, in a cowardly fashion, it refused to do, as I believe it should have done is publish the letter that the requisitioner, Eridge Capital run by flip flop Ben Turney, wanted to send to shareholders. Fear not… the letter, outside of all paywalls, is below. Nostra Terra shareholders should read it and vote to sack chairman Ewan Ainsworth – in light of the scandalous pay revelations below – and hapless Lofgran after this bombshell. Sack the board!

Less than lovely Rita Whittingham is doing her utmost to cling onto the gravy train for her and her relatives which is Magnolia Petroleum (MAGP). You will remember that there are moves to oust the proven failure and install one director from Nostra Terra (NTOG), Evan Ainsworth, and an independent director, Zac "The Knife" Phillips, the City's No 1 oil analyst. This would not be a change of control as Rita asserts since The Knife is independent, but a much needed boardroom clearout. Now to the defence document which is worthy of Jeffrey Archer. It is just low grade fiction.

I could not sleep and found myself scouring the interweb for data on poverty and population for the town of Blaenavon where I visited a coal mine on Monday ( see HERE). I plan a major podcast on that when I am back in internet friendly civilisation, i.e. England. On the markets I look at Pearson (PSON), Nostra Terra (NTOG) and the idea that we are seeing a market blow-off. I dismiss one conspiracy theory about market makers then move on to Mitie (MTO) - Matt Earl is da King! - and then to Rosslyn Data (RDT).

I don't feel like writing today. This is what i want to be doing. But ahead of that I start by clarifying what I think of Matt Lofgran of Nostra Terra (NTOG). Then I look at what happened to Plethora (PLE) and that explains in part why shares in Port Erin (PEBI) have tanked. Then I touch on Thomas Cook (TCG) and prepare for ouzo o'clock when Environmental Recycling (ENRT) goes bust as I explained yesterday. Following that piece the shares are the biggest fallers today. Finally I have a warning for shareholders in African Potash (AFPO). Incoming! That is when I can be arsed.

Warning: This podcast contains bad language and some not terribly PC remarks about the Germans. A bit of an argument this morning with Paul Scott, Britain's top share blogger, on the subject of TrakM8 (TRAK). For once he sounded like a bit of a stale bull and I go through the bull excuses when faced with analysis like THIS. I am right on this one. I also cover Environmental Recycling (ENRT) and Motive TV (MTV) both of which are flea ridden dogs with puss ouzing from every pore and should be put down at once. Then it is on to Nostra Terra (NTOG) and Independent Resources (IRG) as well as Northern Petroleum (NOP) and Armadale Capital (ACP).
